Ministry of Communications is responsible to plan, formulate, coordinate and implement communications policies in general and in particular with respect to international relations such as liberalisation of the communications service sector. They also actively participate in regional and international forums and meetings by expressing Malaysian views and stance, and promote Malaysian entities for regional and international positions in order to play an active role in the development of global communications.
