This original mosque was built on land owned by Bonda Almarhum Sultan Azlan Shah, whose original construction structure was based on wood. This mosque was demolished and rebuilt to accommodate the increasing density of the mosque congregation. This mosque is undergoing a renovation process in the imam's mihrab and the addition of the side of the mosque. On 9th October 2008, this mosque has gone through the process of rebuilding on the same site officially which is estimated to be able to accommodate the congregation capacity of 1500-2000 people. According to sources from the Public Works Department (JKR), the original construction cost of this mosque was RM9.3 million. But it increased to 10.3 million. Throughout the construction process of this mosque, all activities and congregational prayers are held in a temporary building located next to the site of this mosque. -On 20th April 2013 (Sunday), this mosque was completed and used by the congregation for prayers and so on. The inauguration of the mosque was completed by His Majesty the Acting Sultan of Perak in September 2014. The construction of this mosque cost RM26 million and is one of the most beautiful mosques in the state of Perak.
