Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra Mosque, Gua Musang was built on 19 October 1988 and was fully completed on 11 March 1991. The Ministry of Rural Development through its agency KESEDAR has allocated a total of RM2.7 million to build and complete this building.
This mosque was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Sultan Ismail Petra Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Yahya Petra on 15 January 1995 corresponding to 13 Syaaban 1415H. On April 4, 1999, this mosque was officially made the Friday mosque for Mukim Bandar Baru Gua Musang as well as the Colony Mosque.
