"The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, also known as the Selangor State Mosque, is one of the symbols that fuel the majesty of Islam and the sovereignty of Muslims in Malaysia.

The inauguration event on 11 March 1988, corresponding to 23 Rajab 1408 Hijrah which was completed by His Majesty, the Sultan of Selangor Darul Ehsan

As the Head of Religion, DYMM Sultan has followed the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW by inspiring the construction of this mosque. The Selangor State Mosque is currently the largest mosque in Malaysia. Combining Islamic and Malay architecture, this mosque consists of three floors. Offices, conference rooms, reception rooms and lecture rooms are located on the ground floor and the main prayer hall on the first floor."
