Perlis State Mosque is used by the local community as a place of worship and community activities such as the performance of sacrificial worship. It is also used to perform Friday prayers every week.
This mosque has a classical Arab Moorish architectural concept. It has a flat roof and its dome becomes one of the elements that can be seen from afar. This dome is located at a height of about 20 meters from the ground. Its semi-circular shape is blue which matches the color of the mosque wall. There are two small domes built in the porch. The roof of the azan tower in terms of design, resembles the concept of the dome of the National Mosque, which is shaped like a contracted umbrella. The calligraphy of verses from the Holy Qur'an become tatarias on both pillars of the pulpit. Gold color is also used on the stair treads made of carved wood. A small dome is placed on the onion-shaped roof which is also decorated with gold stripes.
