Overview

Efforts to build a new mosque in Kampung Jaya Gading to replace the old Mosque began in 1995. On 7 October 1994, YAB Tan Sri Dato' Seri Haji Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob (Pahang Chief Minister) visited and performed Friday Prayers at Kampung Jaya Gading Mosque. At that time, he was a Member of the State Legislative Assembly for Lepar Area, Paya Besar Parliament in the State Assembly Visit Program. He found that the Kampung Jaya Gading Mosque was no longer suitable to accommodate the large number of congregations and recommended to the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) to apply for a new Mosque.
