The original mosque was built by Tok Muar in a cooperative wooden building on the edge of Sg Muar, as the population grew so it was moved to its current place at the expense of the government and public donations.
Compared to the design concept between the two, the old mosque is a traditional design concept and is made of wood, while the roof is heavy with rumbia. The new mosque was built according to Middle Eastern design and was erected on the basis of concrete and flat roof. In addition it is beautified with modern finishes such as patterned marble. The mosque is also equipped with office space for the management of the mosque and various basic facilities for the comfort of the congregation.
