Overview

"Jamek Kampung Baru Mosque ( MJKB ) which is located on a fairly large piece of land (about four lots) in Jalan Raja Alang, Kampung Baru , Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia which was awarded by a philanthropist named Haji Bachik bin Abdullah. Haji Bachik comes from Melaka and has a house on Jalan Melayu. As a merchant who served as the leader of the Malays at that time, concentrated living in Kampung Hujung Pasir.

Today, Jamek Kampung Baru Mosque has to accommodate more than 7000 worshipers every Friday. And at prayer time no less than 500 people gathered. This number is increasing day by day. As usual, regular lectures are held every night after Maghrib while Subuh lectures are held after Subuh until 7.00 am every day. Morning Lectures were first held in the early sixties by teachers including the late Anuar Mussadad and the late Tuan Haji Kiai Fathullah Harun and continued by other teachers such as the late Tuan Haji Mohd Tahir bin Jaafar, the late Tuan Haji Osman bin Mohd Noor (former Kadi Kuala Lumpur), the late Ustaz Haji Ahmad bin Ramli and other teachers until now."
