At the initial stage, the Construction Committee has taken the approach of collecting donations from house to house. This effort has successfully collected funds amounting to RM 1.5 million. This committee also worked on the initiative of contributions from private companies such as the UDA contributed as much as RM 2 million in financing the cost of mosque development as well as government allocations which eventually managed to raise funds to build a mosque amounting to RM 4.2 million.
In July 1994, work began on the construction of a mosque on a piece of land located next to a religious school. The mosque was completed on December 31, 1996. So on Friday, January 3, 1997, the mosque, known as Jamek Bandar Baru Uda Mosque, was used for the first time. This mosque has an area of 18,640 square feet that can accommodate 5,400 worshippers. Now this mosque shelters as many as 8 suraus.
