Overview

Masjid Ibrahimi Pasir Puteh was built in 1939. It was the first urban mosque in Kelantan. The area of ​​the mosque grounds is 5 acres. This mosque is located in Pasir Puteh city area and by the main road from Kota Bharu to Terengganu. The name of this mosque was taken in conjunction with the name of His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad IV.

The design of this mosque is characteristic of Moghul architecture. This mosque is also rectangular in its foundation. The main prayer room of this mosque has a beautiful carpet floor and is decorated with calligraphy of verses from the Holy Quran on the wall. The minaret is connected to the mosque building and equipped with stairs in the mihrab. In addition, the construction of this mosque has a domed minaret. This mosque also has a library and seminar room for public use. There is also a main prayer room and an additional prayer room in the interior of this mosque. The additional building was inaugurated by YAB. Tun Abdul Razak bin Tun Hussein on 8 Rajab 1395 Hijrah corresponding to 17 July 1975 AD. Ibrahimi Mosque can also accommodate 2800 pilgrims at a time.

This mosque was recognized as the best mosque in the City Mosque category in conjunction with the celebration of the Hijratul Rasul Celebration at the Kelantan State level, in the year 1427 Hijrah equivalent to 2006 AD.
