Starting with a wooden madrasah which was later modified with stone and added space. And in 1995 it became a mosque. The mosque located in Mukim Langgar, Kota Bharu was built in the month of Syaaban 1291 Hijri corresponding to 1871 AD. It was built during the reign of Sultan Long Senik Mulut Merah (Sultan Muhammad II). This mosque features traditional design styles such as Istana Balai Besar and Istana Seri Akar which were built during the sultan's reign.
