Al-Khairiyah Mosque is the second mosque in Taman Seri Gombak and was built to accommodate the rapid increase of Muslims in Taman Seri Gombak and its surroundings. This mosque was inaugurated on 21 Jamadil-Awwal 1425H corresponding to 9 July 2004 by His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.

The design is based on the concept of Malay architecture with the application of Islamic building characteristics. Originally, this mosque space could accommodate 4,000 worshipers at one time, but the provision of lecture rooms, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, administrative offices, marriage rooms, libraries and so on has slightly reduced the capacity of the prayer room in this mosque.

Various awards have been received by Al-Khairiyah Mosque and it has boosted the name of Al-Khairiyah Mosque on par with other large mosques.
