Overview
Al-Ismaili Mosque, Pasir Pekan, Tumpat, was built on the basis of piety and to express the love of His Majesty Sultan Muhammad V to his father Sultan Ismail Petra. Al-Ismaili was taken in conjunction with the name of Sultan Ismail Petra to perpetuate his name among the people. This mosque was built on 1,112 acres of mosque reserve land.
The ground-breaking mosque for the construction of the Al-Ismaili Mosque was completed by His Majesty Sultan Muhammad V on December 22, 2011. In his order, His Majesty stated that this mosque should have congregation-friendly and energy-saving features. The mosque is also equipped with a multi-purpose hall, waqf clinic, child-friendly room, social development center office and mosque staff house. This mosque can accommodate up to 1500 worshipers at any one time.
The position of Al-Ismaili Mosque is located in a strategic location, namely at the main intersection of the road that connects the colonies of Kota Bharu, Tumpat and Pasir Mas, which is also near schools, shops, petrol stations and supermarkets.
Al-Ismaili Mosque, Pasir Pekan, Tumpat started operating when HM Sultan Muhammad V together with YTM Tengku Mahkota Kelantan pardoned permission to leave to defame the Duli to perform Friday Prayers in this mosque on 27 Ramadhan 1435H Simultaneously 25 July 2014 AD.
Al-Ismaili mosque architecture revealed by His Majesty Sultan Muhammad V is based on THEME 5, which is Islam built on the five pillars of Islam in order to maintain the five maqosid as-syariyyah, which are educated through five laws to guide the five human senses to self-mastery in this world towards the hereafter.
Therefore, this mosque was built with a design of five towers, five steps and fenced by six domes that symbolize the six pillars of Faith.
The wall decorations are also five, as well as the base of the dome and five-pointed fountain in accordance with the five strategic plans for the transformation of the ummah that have been initiated by His Majesty Tuanku Sultan Muhammad V on 1 Muharram 1432H corresponding to 6 December 2010 AD.
