This mosque was built when the Taman Desa Jaya and Taman Ehsan housing estates were built in 1984 on a site awarded by the developer of this housing estate. It was inaugurated by His Majesty Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in 1987. This mosque was built on the agreement of the residents who thought it necessary to have a mosque in this residential area., which this mosque will be used as a place of worship for the surrounding Muslims.

This mosque has a main prayer hall for men and women as well as an additional prayer hall on the outside.
