Al-Alami Mosque MITC Ayer Keroh was built on September 17, 2001. This mosque was built on a 22-acre plot of land. The cost of this construction has been spent as much as RM 7.5 million. The construction of this mosque was the brainchild of YB Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam as the Chief Minister of Malacca at that time. This mosque can accommodate up to 2500 worshipers at any one time. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi on 19 October 2004 (M) corresponding to 5 Ramadhan 1425 (H).
